Frequently asked
How does this blood test lead to treatment?
Our initial blood test will establish whether you have a testosterone deficiency. If the first test shows that you have low testosterone you’ll need to take our second, more comprehensive blood test if you’d like to start TRT – this is due to UK regulations. If both tests show that you have low T levels, you’ll discuss suitable treatment options with one of our doctors and during an in-depth consultation before starting treatment.
How soon will the test arrive?
Our blood test kits usually arrive within three working days. It may take longer over public holidays.
How do I take a finger-prick test?
We provide everything you need to take the test at home and don’t worry, it doesn’t hurt. You simply have to prick you finger with the provided lances and fill a vial up to a specified limit. We provide detailed instructions both online and with the kit to make sure you know how to do it. If you have any issues you can always contact us through your account and a clinician can help you adminster the test.
When will I get my results?
We’ll get in touch via email to give you your results within two to three business days. One of our TRT specialists will then walk you through the results, provide advice, and answer all of your questions.
How secure is my data?
Your data is securely stored within our encrypted patient record management system.
Can I have someone take my blood for me?
Yes, if you’d prefer to have a professional draw a blood sample from your arm, you can select the enhanced testing kit from the main site navigation bar. We will then arrange an appointment at one of our partner clinics, a phlebotomy clinic of your choice or a visit from a nurse to collect your blood sample. We highly suggest starting with the at-home test kit to start, it’s much simpler and costs less too.
